Formation of Telangana with Hyderabad is our main agenda, said Congress MPs from Telangana region. In a ‘meet the press’ programme organized by the Telangana Journalists’ Forum in Hyderabad, the Congress MPs Jagannatham, Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivekananda have briefed about their agenda. The leaders have called upon all the political leaders from all the parties to join the parade in Delhi that is scheduled to take place before the current parliament sessions conclude. “Put aside the party flags and come forward to take part in the movement,” said MP Ponnam Prabhakar. In case the Centre doesn’t react to our protest, then we would discuss and decide the strategy to be adopted in presidential elections, said MPs. The MPs have also demanded the TDP leaders from Telangana region to press Chandrababu Naidu to write a letter in favour of the bifurcation to the Centre. Not against the Centre & high command: In the wake of rumours that the Congress MPs were going against the high command, MP Manda Jagannatham has said that their fight was not against the Centre and high command. All that they request the Centre was to keep up its promise. The leaders have lashed out at the Governor and the chief minister stating that they were allegedly sending wrong reports to the Centre on Telangana issue. With MPs pressing the Centre without taking on the party but asking for sticking to its promise, the high command will apparently welcome the demand of MPs. But, the clear cut statement will presumably come after by-polls.
