Some dates have special significance and will occur rarely. The occurrence of 11.11.11 and today 12.12.12 are two such occasions and many try to make them memorable by performing some events. There was spurt in wedding or engagements on this day with even many pregnant women competing with each other to give birth to the new born.
However Mamatha Mohan Das who mesmerized Tollywood by romancing top stars during her time has both sweet and sour memories on both the occasions. While she got engaged to Pregith Padmanabhan on 11.11.11, and even before she could enjoy and savor the sweetness of her engagement, she decided to part ways divorcing him on 12.12.12.
Mamatha said "I know nobody would ever wish to hear this. But, the fact is that after much contemplation, Pregith and I have decided to move on our individual ways. I’m very happy that we realized that we are two different types of people, who can’t journey together for long. So we took the decision before a discontented family life took us far. It’s been a few months since we started living separately. Legal procedures will begin in January next year."
