Karimnagar, March 5: A NRI living in Australia was arrested by the Karimnagar police for haring a girl of Warangal, in the name of love.Aravinda Rao, the NRI and the Warangal girl were childhood friends.She treated him as a friend and used to move with him closely. Taking advantage of it, the youth of Karimnagar started pestering her to love him. When she refused, he started harassing her. He morphed her photographs and posted them on the Facebook. He even threatened to send those photographs to marriage bureaus. He started sending obscene messages.When Aravinda Rao came to India ten days ago, he went straight to Warangal and tried to threaten her. But when her parents complained, he went off to Karimnagar. But on information from their counterparts, Krimnagar police arrested him and registered cases. Women’s organizations which stood by the girl, are demanding stern action against Aravinda Rao.
