Hyderabad, May 7: Noted lawyer Sri Ranga Rao and several other lawyers met the city police commissioner Anurag Sarma and asked him to book a suo moto case against Ram Charan, hero and union minister Chiranjeevi’s son.
They urged the commissioner to book the case for the assault on some persons by him and his security staff. They said it was improper on the part of the police to leave the matter, stating that there was no complaint. They told the top cop that there were media reports and visuals in TV channels about the incident.
It may be recalled that some two persons complained to the Banjara Hills police that Ram Charan and his security guards beat them up for not giving way to the hero’s car. The victims showed their injuries and torn shirts to the media. Later no one knew what happened and the complainants themselves asked the media to ignore the incident. Police said they had not booked any case as there was no complaint.
