F Andhra Entertainment : Mission Kakatiya gaining global recognition: Harish Rao

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao has claimed that the Mission Kakatiya programme has been gaining recognition at the global level.
Speaking after launching the second phase of works under the Mission Kakatiya in Warangal on Thursday, Harish Rao said that the programme and concept was being received well by all sections across the globe. He said that the Mission Kakatiya works were giving good results and they have helped in improving the ground water tables. He informed that under the second phase 824 tanks and lakes in Warangal district would be restored at a cost of Rs. 313 crore. He said Warangal was on top in executing Mission Kakatiya works in the first phase. He hoped that the district would maintain its lead in the second phase.
Harish Rao said that the Irrigation Department would conduct week-long events on Mission Kakatiya in the month of April. He said on the advise of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the restoration of lakes in urban areas was being taken up.
